Custody Architecture
- Multi-Party Computation (MPC) — private keys are split across geographically distributed HSMs; no single party can sign a transaction alone
- Cold Storage — 95%+ of client assets are held offline in air-gapped vaults
- Segregated Accounts — every client’s assets are held in individually segregated wallets, never commingled
Platform Security
- SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure
- AES-256 encryption at rest; TLS 1.3 in transit
- Real-time intrusion detection and anomaly monitoring (24/7 SOC)
- DDoS mitigation with multi-layer edge protection
- Mandatory 2FA for all account actions
Insurance
Hot wallet balances are covered by a $50M insurance policy underwritten by a Lloyd’s syndicate. Cold storage is covered separately under our $250M institutional custody policy.
Bug Bounty
We run an active bug-bounty programme with rewards up to $100,000 for critical vulnerabilities. Report responsibly to security@meridian.us.
